Fleet adds two all-electric Chevy Bolts
Did you hear the roar of the engines recently when Grant PUD took possession of two brand new Chevy Bolt sedans? Of course you didn't!
These all-electric cars rolled in like a whisper and soon will be used by Customer Service folks as any other fleet vehicle would be used, but with an important difference — no air pollution.
The sporty Bolts will soon be adorned with graphics that promote their zero-carbon feature. They'll maybe get a few Grant County residents thinking that, if Grant PUD can depend on all-electric cars, maybe my family can, too.
Charging stations — two for the Bolts and two for public use — are now officially installed and ready for use at the Moses Lake Local Office, where the Bolts will live when not in use.
Thanks very much to Ralph Gonzalez, Customer Engineering, for the photos and information about the charging stations.
