Meeting the needs of Grant County’s largest customers

Grant PUD’s Large Power Solutions (LPS) team supports customers with electrical demand of 500 kW and above. We serve as your single point of contact, helping you plan, expand, and manage large power service from early inquiry through energized service.

1. Submit Inquiry & Complete Consultation Meeting

Customer fills out an LPS inquiry form.

Business Development Manager contacts applicant within 3-5 business days and schedules inquiry meeting.

2. Complete Application & Pay Application Fee  

Customer fills out a Large Electric Service Application (APP) and pays the appropriate non-refundable application fee.

3. Perform System Impact Study which will confirm transmission capacity availability and our ability to serve the request. Studies typically take ~2 months to perform  

Grant PUD evaluates the system to determine electrical service needs and any impacts on the Grant PUD system required to deliver the requested load. **Redundant requests skip this phase.

4. Facilities Planning  

Grant PUD defines scope, schedule and cost to deliver the requested load to the customer site.

5. Facility Agreement

Grant PUD internally approves required facilities as a project. both parties sign and agree to the scope and cost of the project. Customer pays the Facility Contribution.

6. Design & Construction

Grant PUD designs, procures and constructs necessary facilities to deliver the load. Provisional Facilities might be available at additional cost.

7. Power under a Rate Schedule

Customer receives Electrical Service under a Rate Schedule and pays monthly billing.
