Proven managers, skilled leaders and longtime employees Julie Pyper and Ty Ehrman have joined Grant PUD's executive management team. Pyper serves as Chief Administrative Officer and Ehrman as the Chief Customer Officer.
"Julie's and Ty's skills and expertise will continue to be on full display, and we are excited to see them deliver positive outcomes with the high standards of leadership they exemplify," General Manager and CEO Rich Wallen said of the new executives.
Pyper began her career at Grant PUD in September 2009. She has two decades of public-sector leadership experience acquired at posts with the Okanogan County Planning Department, Chelan County PUD and multiple positions at Grant PUD. She assembled and continues to oversee the teams that manage millions of dollars in Grant PUD projects and contract work to keep them efficient, on budget and on time. Her continued responsibilities also include oversight of a host of other departments that provide internal services, including change management, corrective action and continuous improvement. As Chief Administrative Officer, Pyper fills a newly created position on the executive team with added responsibility over the Safety and Employee Experience departments. She assumed her new role in December 2022.
Julie has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Washington State University and holds certifications as a Project Management Professional and Organizational Change Management Practitioner.
Ehrman joined Grant PUD in January 2010, and assumed his new role of Chief Customer Officer on March 31, 2023. He moved into the utility industry after 10 years as a design engineer and engineering manager for heavy equipment manufacturers in the sawmill and mobile-equipment industries. At Grant PUD, he has held positions in engineering and power plant management and most recently served as the head of Power Production. His role as Chief Customer Officer will include leadership of teams that have direct contact with customers, the media and industry partners plus the wholesale-marketing and rates-and-pricing teams. Ehrman replaces current Chief Customer Officer Dave Churchman, who is transitioning to a post in Grant PUD's wholesale power marketing department.
Ty has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and is a registered professional engineer in Washington.
