Lots to do on Employee Appreciation Day - Sept. 12 at Crescent Bar

We've got a group hard at work making final plans for the 2019 Grant PUD Employee Appreciation Day at Crescent Bar on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. See below for the preliminary schedule.

A few things to know:

  1. This is an event for all employees and work will be suspended for the day. Supervisors are working with Senior Managers and the CXOs to adjust work schedules and timelines so every available employee will be able to attend. (The few who cannot attend because they are on shift as operators or dispatchers will be provided a special appreciation package.)
  2. Parking is limited at Crescent Bar, so carpooling is encouraged.
  3. Lunch will be provided.
  4. There will be some chairs and tables set up for the event, but employees who would like more comfortable or portable seating are encouraged to bring their own camp or beach chairs.
  5. Details about the Appreciation Day will be published in the Working@Grant Newsletter and on the home page of the Intranet.

Schedule:


10 a.m. – Safety Briefing and Welcome
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – Games and activities including:

  • Golf Putting Contest
  • Beanbag toss (Cornhole) competition
  • Pickleball Tournament
  • Scavenger Hunt


11:45 a.m. – Short presentation from CXOs
Noon to 12:45 p.m. – Lunch catered by Michaels on the Lake (*See menu below)
12:45 to 1:45 p.m. - Games and activities including:

  • Golf Putting Contest
  • Beanbag toss (Cornhole) competition
  • Pickleball Tournament
  • Scavenger Hunt


1:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. - Event Awards

2 p.m. to Close - Free Golf for Grant PUD employees (Employees wanting to play golf must book tee times with Crescent Bar Golf Course (509) 797-1595) 

Menu:

  • Fire grilled hamburgers with choice of condiments
  • All beef hot dogs with choice of condiments.
  • BBQ boneless chicken breasts
  • Homemade slow roasted baked beans with bacon
  • Potato Salad
  • Coleslaw
  • Various water and sodas
