Learn about Public Power in Grant County during Oct. 3 presentation

Grant PUD will be celebrating Public Power Week with a presentation for the public about the formation of Grant PUD on Monday, Oct. 3, in the Grant PUD Commission Room at 30 C St. SW in Ephrata at 6 p.m.

The presentation, given by Thomas Stredwick and Chuck Allen, of Grant PUD Public Affairs, highlights the pioneers in Grant County who had the vision to dream big dreams, including large-scale hydroelectric power projects to serve the region and creating a county-wide Public Power utility service.

“Everyone in Grant County has been affected by the vision and actions of these early pioneers,” stated Allen. “Their legacy is the benefit we receive in having some of the most affordable and reliable power in the nation. We look forward to sharing the story of Grant PUD with our customers.”
